More than just an interior designer.

A wise person once told me that generosity doesn’t only refer to material things. We can also give our time, acts of kindness and love, and knowledge. By many, I’m considered a generous person, but I recently realized I haven’t been as generous with all of you when it comes to sharing my interior design knowledge. So here I am, committing to being generous to you in more ways than one. I’m starting this blog to share my love and passion for all things interior design and (of course) to give you all the tea on my design projects, design tips you can try at home, and a peek into all of the things that bring me joy. Come along for the journey, I hope you’ll enjoy the ride as much as I will.

For those of you who are meeting me for the first time, let me introduce myself. I’m Jade — an interior designer extraordinaire (as my friends say), lover of all things interior design, and self-proclaimed badass. I started my self-titled interior design firm in 2020 after spending 6 years studying under some of the most incredible designers in the industry. I define my design style as soulful modern, combining my love of nature with modern day life and a touch of glam to create lavishly-liveable and inspiring spaces.

I grew up in the sunny Los Angeles suburbs and moved to NYC in 2015, where I am now proud to call home. I have a fur baby named Oreo (yes she is my child). I call her my old lady-baby because she’s 14 years old but still has the energy of a puppy. But more about her later… I’m a Capricorn sun, Cancer rising, and Gemini moon. I am a tea connoisseur and have an extensive loose-leaf tea collection. I love to cook and have taken up baking in the last couple of years (I’m known for my carrot cake, ask about me). I’ve been a pescetarian for going on 7 years. I am an introvert, so I like my “me” time, but also love to hang around my friends and family who keep me in check. I practice meditation (almost) every day. I love plants and crystals and incorporating them into my home and design projects. I love being creative and am proud to use my passion for creativity in my career and daily life.

Nearly 10 years ago, I took a leap of faith and followed my lifelong obsession with interior design into my career. I began designing in my hometown of Los Angeles before settling in NYC, and have since worked on residential and commercial projects in some of the largest cities for interior design, including NY, LA, Miami, DC, Connecticut, and New Jersey. Before earning my degree in Interior Architecture from UCLA, I received a BA in Sociology. My education has influenced my design process immensely as I love to incorporate societal and cultural themes relating to my clients into the details of my designs.

My design approach lends itself to a modern style while incorporating influences from nature that speak to the soul of the home (and most importantly the soul of my clients) for a modern, yet timeless look and feel. Creating nature-inspired spaces is something I am very passionate about. My designs focus on more than just appearance and function; they tie into how a space feels and how those feelings influence our mood. I aim to create spaces that are not only beautiful for my clients, but that are also customized beyond their wildest dreams all while solving their biggest problems (and some problems they may not have known they had). I truly believe that every corner should bridge the gap between beauty and function. When our homes are designed with intent they just simply work, leaving you feeling inspired to effortlessly live a full and beautiful life.

If you’ve made it this far, thank you for reading and I hope to see you here again soon. Now that you’ve learned about me, I’d love to hear where you’re reading from and any topics you want me to cover!

Xx Jade
