When my clients found this recently renovated townhouse, they fell in love with the original architectural details. And when I stepped foot inside I felt the exact same feeling. From the original marble fireplace and the decadent stairwell spindles, to the molding details and big picturesque windows, this home has no shortage of luxurious and classic details. Having worked together on their previous home, we had grown to know each other well over the years and I knew we would create something spectacular together again. Starting with a blank canvas, we worked together to enhance the interior architecture with soft, sculptural, and timeless furnishings that spoke to the soul of my clients and accentuated the home. The owners are big entertainers and jump at the chance to host whenever possible, so having multiple seating areas within the main floor was an important factor, featuring a home bar in the center of it all. By keeping the backdrop soft and warm, the statements of each space became the bold and colorful accent pieces. Let’s get into it, come on in!
The living room is all custom! This space features an original marble fireplace enhanced by Venetian plaster wall, anchored by fluted linen sconces by Ian K Fowler. A custom boucle curved sofa and a custom marble coffee table surround the fireplace for an inviting conversing area opposing the custom Olivya Stone accent chairs.
The original staircase details feature ebony stained railings with Greek key motif, accented with a textured grasscloth wallcovering by Innovations, beautiful brass wall sconces by Aerin for a touch of glam, a plush custom two-toned runner that extends to all 5 floors, an Olivya Stone mohair upholstered bench, and accented with an Elitis patterned wallpaper that leads into the adjacent bar area.
Custom bar designed by Jade McNeil Interiors featuring white oak cabinetry, statuario marble countertop, and an antiqued mirror backing. The Elitis wallpaper that accents the staircase leads into the opposing cocktail seating with a custom silk rug, luxe velvet swivel chairs from Mitchell Gold Bob Williams, and a view of the Pool Wall Sculptures by SkLO in the mirror’s reflection.
A custom bleached white oak dining table centers this dining room, surrounded by dining chairs from the client’s previous home that we reupholstered in a cozy chenille fabric, and the crème de la crème of light fixtures, the Welles chandelier by Gabriel Scott.
In the den, we wanted to make a cozy space that had its own personality from the rest of the home. We painted the walls a moody shade of green-gray (Chelsea Gray by Benjamin Moore), and went with a lightly colored sectional to keep things from feeling too dark. A leather ottoman perfectly finishes off the space to lounge all Sunday afternoon or pile up with friends to watch the big game.
The den is complete with a second bar (I told you this is an entertainer’s dream home!) that leads out to a large terrace for endless fun.
The primary bedroom is the definition of the sweet life, featuring a simple applied wall molding to accent the vaulted ceilings, a luxe velvet bench by Arteriors, cozy accent chairs by DeMuro Das, and a touch of glam with a Kate Spade light fixture.
